My Essay Of Romeo And Juliet
In this essay we will be talking mostly about Romeo than Juliet well it’s just going to be about Romeo. We will be talking about 3 things which are Romeo’s tragic flaw, Romeo is doomed and moral dilemma that is faced by Romeo himself. This will prove how effective these themes where to the play or the outcome.
Tragic flaw has been included in the play especially on Romeo for example the first time he see Juliet in Capulet’s house. This was a begging of a tragedy, this was going to be Romeo’s death. He had fallen in love with her worst enemy, his family rival. This lead to his death.it has been included also when Tybalt challenges Romeo to fight because he was ashamed that his uncle kicked him out of the house just because he wanted to fight him there this shows us that Romeo has been in risk of death many times which shows that his death was coming. Also when Mercutio and Tybalt where fighting Romeo was really hurt and instead of Romeo dying it was Mercutio. In the chase between Romeo and Tybalt. Romeo said “Either thou or I, or both, must go with him” and in reality both of them died its jus at different times of the play.
Doomed has been included in the play many times through foreshadowing for example in ‘Act 1 Scene 4’ Romeo says “I fear too early, for my mind misgives Some consequence yet hanging in the stars shall bitterly begin his fearful date with this night’s revels, and expire the term of a despised life clos’d in my breast, by some vile forfeit of untimely death” this is the scene when Mercutio and Benvolio are trying to convince Romeo to attend the party in the Capulet’s mansion but he responds with that he has a bad feeling that something bad is going to happen like he sees someone lying down on a tomb dead this shows foreshadowing in the play that his death or the others death is going to happen. Foreshadowing is being included in ‘Act 3 Scene 1’ Romeo says “this day’s black fate on moe days doth depend, this but begins the woe others must end.” This is saying the fatal consequence of what has happened will decide my actions in the future, this is saying Romeo leaves it to destiny and that fate will decide what he will do.
Moral dilemma has also been shown throughout the play when he finds out that the woman he is fully in love with is her enemy that if he tell his family who it is they will not accept her and probably want to kill her or if Juliet’s family finds out about their love towards each other. Another way moral dilemma was shown when Tybalt challenges him to fight and Romeo doesn’t want to because Tybalt was part of his family as he had just married Juliet and he didn’t want to kill Juliet’s family member that she might hate him for what he could of done. When he killed Tybalt he was upset thinking if Juliet was going to hate him or will still love him.
These affect changed the play a lot as it gave hints of what was going to happen if you looked at them clearly they made you feel like the scene was real life that you felt the same feeling as Romeo. These are my points hope you agree.
